pAt 0002 Northampton County 911 Center alerted LFC 1 along with surrounding companys to RPM Recycling in Plainfield Twp. for a reported fire with explosions. Early radio reports from numerous units reported a very large smoke column. First arriving officers reported a large scrap pile fully involved.Engine 3211 proceeded into the scene from the rear of the property and was able to establish a water supply line from a hydrant. Once on the property Engine 3211 and crews from 3241 were positioned on the east side and worked multiple hand lines and a master stream to help protect and suppress the fire. Crews remained on scene for several hours till 36 command declared the fire out and cleared all units at 0545.
