The officers and members of the Lookout Fire Company No.1 have been working hard on being prepared as well as addressing ways on how to help keep our community and members safe while responding to emergency calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the last few weeks we have been training by reviewing policies, guidelines and practices to ensure everyone’s safety during these unprecedented times.
FIRST and foremost, we want to ensure our community that we are here for you and ready to answer any call wherever we are needed. We wish to make the public aware that you might see or notice our members looking a bit different when responding to calls. We have put specific guidelines in place on how we will continue to respond to emergency calls. The biggest thing that you will notice is that our members will be wearing additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Please do not be alarmed, we are doing this to help not only protect our members but also protect those that we are assisting and their families in an emergency.
Pictured here you can see what our members will be wearing when answering calls. We wish to assure our community that we are here and will continue to be here when called upon; we are in this together. Check back here from time to time as we will attempt to have only reliable information and try not to overload your newsfeed.
Above all stay safe and continue to check in with local, state, and federal resources for guidance and reliable information related to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
