On Saturday April 15 Fire station 32 and 35, along with EMS Station 27 were dispatched to a reported working dwelling fire in the 400 block of Railroad Ave in the Borough. Northampton County 911 dispatchers advised that Slate Belt Regional Police were on location and advised on Smoking coming from the roof line. Fire Chief 3251 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire. Engine 3211 went responding with a full crew. Engine 3211 arrived on scene, were crews were able to quickly locate, make entry into the residence and bring the fire under control within fifteen minutes of being on scene. Crews conducted a complete search of the structure with all residents evacuated and accounted for. Crews from both stations assisted in overhaul operations. Units from Fire Station 32 remained on scene to complete overhaul and investigation purposes. All units cleared the scene and made available and placed back into service by early evening.
