On Monday August 7, Lookout Fire Company #1 was dispatched for a report of an active leak from a cylinder at a storage building at a water treatment facility. Units arrived on scene to find that a chlorine cylinder was actively leaking from the valve. Engine 3211, Engine 3212, and Rescue 3241 all responded. Upon further investigation a it was requested that Lehigh County Special Operations be dispatched to make entry into the building and control the leaking cylinder. County EMA and and Lehigh County Special Operations units responded to the scene. Members from fire Station 32 provided support to the operations of HazMat technicians from LCSO entered the building and stopped the leak and ventilated the building. Upon this all units cleared the scene and returned to service.
