Friday, July 2, 2010 15:47 - On Friday July 2nd, station 32 and medic station 90 was dispatched for an MVA with unknown injuries in the 500 block of W. Penn Ave. 3253 (2nd asst. T.Hower ) arrived on scene and established the 32 command and requested 3211 and 3241 to respond. Upon Engine 3211 upon arriving command requested members to pack up as a strong odor and a lite smoke was coming from the engine compartment of the one vehicle. Upon opening the hood of the vehicle and further investigation the source of the odor and smoke was found. Crew members also handled a lite debris and fluid clean up and cleared the scene and were available within 20 minutes.
