Wednesday, February 24, 2010 14:24 - The Lookout Fire Company #1 station 32 had a busy afternoon. It started at 14:24 when Upper Mt. Bethel Fire Department , who was at the scene of a dwelling fire at the 200 block of Laurel Hill Rd. Command asked that station 32 be dispatched for man power with SCBA's to assit at the scene with heavy overhaul operations. 12 Members geared up and went in-route in 3243, with 3253 ( T.Hower) as chief officer for Station 32. Once on scene the members helped members from stations,37,39 & 33 in checking for possible hot-spots and mopping things up at the scene. After being on scene for around an hour 37 command released 32 units as they had been dispatched for a possible dwelling fire in the 1100 block of Flory Ave, in plainfield twp. After being dispatched NCC advised all units from 36,30,32, & 38 that it was a smell of natural gas in the resident. 36 officers then down graded the assignment to only units who were already in route. Engine 3211 arrived on scene and helped out with station 36 with the problem. Shortly after the problem was found and 32 units were cleared of scene and placed back in service
